Renaissance Scientests thought mathematics could help them understand the universe. Like we use in math today, the scientists created symbols for the square root, positive, and negative.

Some other scientists wanted to know more about the sky so they studied astronomy. They learned about the stars, sun, and planets. Through that, they learned that the earth move around the sun.
Someone that played a major role in the scientific revolution was Galileo. Galileo was an italian physicist, mathematician, astronomer and philosopher. He made the telescope and one of his achievements include support for copernicanism.
